Newsletter for Mt. Washington residents
Letter from John Gray
To the residents of Mt. Washington:
The Autry National Center is delighted to let you know that it recently secured vital funding to begin a four-year process to preserve the Southwest collection and provide urgently-needed rehabilitation to the building of the Southwestern Museum of the American Indian. That work will begin on July 1, 2006.
As your neighbor, we are committed to keeping the Southwest available to you to the greatest extent possible during this rehabilitation. This newsletter will describe the work being done on the collection and the building, and how you will be able to access the Southwest during the construction, as well as give you more information about the history of the museum and the treasures of the collection.
Please feel free to contact us with questions or concerns about the Southwest. And come visit us at our Griffith Park site.
